Prentice’s Rule

قاعدة برنتس (Prentice’s Rule)

Prentice’s Rule states that prism power equals lens power multiplied by the distance from the optical center in centimeters: P = cF.

Quick Decode

Prentice’s Rule estimates the prism effect when you look through a spectacle lens away from its optical center: P = cF. P is prism power in prism diopters, c is the distance from the optical center in centimeters, and F is lens power in diopters; stronger lenses and greater distances produce more prism effect.
